How to Prepare for Your Lash Appointment
Arrive with a freshly washed face.
Avoid wearing any makeup, lotions, or oils around the eyes.
Wear comfortable clothing.
Avoid caffeine prior to your appointment. It can cause eye movement during the service, which may expose your eyes to adhesive vapour and extend the appointment time.
Use the washroom before your service; one is available for all guests.
Arrive on time.
Music will be played during your appointment, but feel free to bring headphones if you'd prefer your own playlist or podcast or request your own music to be played.
Let me know if you'd like a chatty or quiet session—I’m here to make your experience as relaxing as possible.
Remove contact lenses and wear glasses to and from the appointment.
Aftercare for Lash Extensions
You can get your lashes wet immediately after your appointment, but it is essential to clean them regularly using a lash-safe cleanser and a soft brush (such as a fluffy eyeshadow brush).
While cleaning, focus on the lash line itself to remove dirt, oils, and buildup that can accumulate at the base of the lashes. This is crucial to prevent complications like conjunctivitis or lash mites.
Crying or exposure to saltwater (pools, oceans) is fine, but always clean your lashes afterward to remove salt residue.
Heavy sweating, saunas, and steam rooms do not need to be avoided entirely but can weaken the curl over time with prolonged exposure.
Avoid rubbing, tugging, or pulling on your lashes.
While the adhesive doesn’t instantly break down upon contact with oil-based products, consistent exposure can compromise its durability. To maximize the lifespan of your extensions, avoid oil-based makeup and cleansers near the eyes whenever possible.
Sleep on your back or use a silk pillowcase to reduce friction on your lashes.
Long-Term Lash Care
Schedule regular fills every 2–3 weeks to maintain fullness and keep your lash extensions looking their best.
Brush your lashes daily with a clean spoolie to keep them neat and tangle-free.
Clean your lashes thoroughly with a lash-safe cleanser and brush, focusing on the lash line to remove debris and prevent buildup. Proper hygiene ensures the health of your extensions and natural lashes.
Avoid using eyelash curlers, as they can damage extensions.
If you choose to stop wearing extensions, let them shed naturally or schedule a professional removal to protect your natural lashes.
